    Why us
Each season we guide and support hundreds of people taking on the 3 peaks. Whether for charity fundraising or just for fun.

We know the challenge inside out and the best ways to maximise your chances of getting a sub 24 hour time.

Our guides have extensive experience on the 3 peaks and spend much of their time working and playing on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon right through the year in all conditions.
    Safety
We are based in the Lake District the "Adventure Capital" of England. A place where many professional mountaineers make their home. This means we have managed to bring together a team of dedicated, qualified, professional and experienced people to work with us.

All of our team hold national governing body qualifications and are certified by the MTA (Mountain Training Association). They have spent their working lifetime guiding and instructing in mountaineering and climbing, both in the UK and around the world. Many are also operational Mountain Rescue Team members.

We have significant expertise when it comes to supporting people on these types of challenges and the experience necessary to guide people in the most extreme environments and conditions.
What is the 3 peaks challenge
There is nearly half a century of tradition involved with the challenge and lots of variations in style. The typical challenge involves climbing

    • Ben Nevis, Scotland's biggest mountain at 1344m
    • Scafell Pike, England's biggest mountain at 978m
    • Snowdon, the biggest mountain in Wales at 1085m

To complete the classic 24 hour challenge you must start at the foot of Ben Nevis and finish at the foot of Snowdon having reached all three summits.
    Transport & accommodation
Following our typical itinerary the challenge can be completed without the need for any accommodation.

We pick up at Glasgow Central Train Station, International Airport or nearby hotel between 10 am and 11.30 am.

The drive to Ben Nevis is 2.5 hours and we aim to start the challenge between 2 to 4 pm. Finishing 24 hours later between 2 - 4 pm the following day. We then drop at Chester station which is 1.5 hours from Snowdon.

Some people choose to travel to Glasgow the evening before the challenge and stay overnight. And some people stay in a hotel in Chester after the challenge.

For private groups we can pick up and drop off at your hotel. For open challenges pick up is from airport hotels, the airport itself or Glasgow Central Station. But we can drop you at hotels in Chester or the station.
